decent older house with easy beach access!

Overall

We were in the location we love! Easy beach access, we thought we would have better access to the sound. The kitchen needs more silverware and serving bowls. Beds slept well and we were plenty comfortable. This is a decent older house that has been modernized, and with a little more attention to detail, it could be even better.

Overall

Great little house in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the ocean and the sound. It's the perfect location for both sound activities and beach activities. Beds were standard beds, no sagging or unpleasant lumps in mattresses. Definitely needs an update to kitchen items. The kitchen items were very sparse and very shabby - almost unusable. I was shocked to see the decline in utensils, knives, pans from last year to this year.

Great location! This was a nice house. It worked for our needs. Kitchen was well equipped, however maybe some new dishes and mugs. Beds were good, couches we a little uncomfortable for tv watching. Also recommend a smart tv, then tenants can use own log ins for tv viewing, cable was very limited. and this might be less cost to owner overall.

Overall

This property was amazing! The house itself has "grandpa's cabin by the beach" vibes. While older, it's well taken care of, bright and open. It's surprisingly roomy! Six adults can easily coexist in this space without it feeling too crowded. The bedrooms and living room had comfortable furniture. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware, flatware, and cooking utensils. The pots and pans were in great shape, and there was one of everything anyone could need to prepare meals comfortably. Mattresses were awesome! It's location is a "best of both worlds" situation - 2 minute walk to the sound for kayaking/wading or a 3 minute walk to Mirlo Beach for ocean adventures. We will be staying here again!

We enjoyed our visit a lot especially since this was our first visit to the OBX. Next time we will rent a larger house with a fenced yard if available. The kitchen worked well for our reequirements. All of the beds were fine. Sofas were basic but ok. Need a listing of the available tv channels. The grill is in very bad shape - needs to be replaced.
