In April 2010, a Sun Realty owner found a piece of a 1609 wreck in front of their Outer Banks home “Round House” 110.  This home is at the end of Sea Tern Dr. one street north of Port Trinitie in Duck, NC. It had a very unusual end with a knotch, groove and wooden pegs. Joe Schwarzer, the Director of the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, said there was another piece of the this wreck connected to the piece found.  “It must be around here somewhere, either in the sand or just off shore,” said Schwarzer. In September 2010, the owner was looking at his property on Sun Realty’s website, and clicked on the visual tour.  A large “log” just north of where the shipwreck piece was found. This piece was not there in April. It is almost the exact shape and size as the piece found earlier. The owner checked with the Sun Realty Duck office and found out the pictures were taken in mid-March, 3 weeks before the other piece was found.  The owner is convinced this must be the missing piece of the wreck.
