On Thursday, April 14 and Friday, April 15 the Oakley Surf Shop Challenge comes to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the Mid-Atlantic Teams Challenge. Surf shops have to receive an invitation to participate in this coveted contest. This year 280 surfers from over 70 shops will be competing for bragging rights and a $10,000 prize. Winners of the Mid-Atlantic contest will head to the National Challenge in September in Huntington Beach California. This years Mid-Atlantic Challenge will be held somewhere in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina depending on the wave.
