Not attending Taste of the Beach? Culinary adventures in the Outer Banks continue all summer long with the Outer Banks Epicurean. Owner Amy Huggins is always coming up with new classes and food tours that lets you re-connect with your food. By the end of a class, you’ll have a new perspective on cooking and an appreciation for the culinary arts in the Outer Banks.

We are very excited about Amy's newest Colington Crab Kayak and Cook tour which will be offered every Wednesday between April 27 – September 28, 2011:
“Start the morning with coffee and scones at Wayback Kayak then paddle thru the natural beauty of Blount Bay. See crab shedders and local watermen harvesting Blue Crabs. Follow the private canal to Epicurean’s backyard where you leave your kayaks, step inside the kitchen and begin a private cooking lesson focused on Cookin’ Outer Banks Style - featuring Blue Crabs, of course! After your lesson and feast, take the slow paddle back to Wayback Kayak and enjoy the special serenity only accomplished by a full belly and a nature filled spirit. Take home recipes, a better understanding of our unique ecosystems and even a sample of Outer Banks SeaSalt!”
Fee: $89 per person
