Every holiday season, parents across the country have to figure out how to keep the children entertained during their seemingly never-ending winter breaks. The North Carolina Aquarium in Roanoke Island finally has the answer. Winter Day Camp. Vacationers this winter can also reap the awards of sending their kids to an aquarium day camp as well. Just drop the kids off in the morning and the adults can enjoy an entire day exploring the Outer Banks without the stress of bringing the kids.

Kids of all ages will enjoy spending the day at the aquarium and learning about marine life. This year, the aquarium is offering three days of winter camps. Two days of Aquarium Day Camp and one day of Something’s Fishy Day Camp.

Aquarium Day Camp – Kids will spend the day getting to know Aquarium animals, going behind the scenes, making crafts, exploring in a classroom and touring the Aquarium! Campers need to wear closed toe shoes and bring a lunch. Ages 8-12. Only $25 per camper.
December 20 & 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Something’s Fishy Day Camp
– Kids will learn everything they have ever wanted to about fish. Campers will feed fish at the aquarium, make some fishy crafts, and even go fishing. (if the weather permits) Campers need to wear closed toe shoes and bring a lunch. Ages 8-12. Only $25 per camper.

December 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
