The Corolla Surf Shop Surf & Skim Grom Fest Contest is being held on Thursday, July 8 at 11 a.m. The contest is open to all surfers and skim boarders, 18 or under. The surf contest will be divided in to the following divisions: Boys ages 16-18, 13-15, 11-12, 9-10 and 8 and under & Girls 13-18, 9-12 and 8 and under. The skim boarding competition is open to boys and girls of all ages. The contest begins at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Ramp Road in Corolla. Entry fee is $27 and includes lunch and a contestant t-shirt. First place in the skim boarder contest wins a free Zap Skim board.
