Catch nature's holiday lights tonight! The isolated Outer Banks is the perfect place to catch one of the most spectacular shows on earth. With little to no light pollution and miles of empty beaches to stretch out on, catching a meteor shower is a favorite pastime for locals. Tonight, locals and vacationers will be able to catch the last meteor shower of 2010, the Geminids Meteor Shower.

Astronomers are predicting 50-80 meteors per hour but say the naked eye will be able to see at least 20 per hour. Most of the meteors will come from the Geminid Constellation. The meteor shower will be at its peak after 10 p.m. tonight and will continue through December 18. Tonight's show is supposed to be the best of the week.
