This years Outer Banks Taste of the Beach was a great success. What once used to be a one day expo, showcasing local restaurants and chefs, has turned into a nationally recognized week-long food event on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.


Events that took place during the week included; OBX Chowder Cook-Off at Coastal Provisions, Porkin’ Ain’t EZ at Pigman’s Bar-B-Que, Tapas Crawls in Duck and Roanoke Island, a mystery dinner theatre, and much more.



As always the “Big Event” was the Taste of the Beach Expo, which took place Sunday March 14 at Pamlico Jacks in Nags Head. There were over 35 vendors, and 400 attendees. Overall ticket sales for the week were up 63% over last year! 


This event brings visitors to the area in a rather slower time of year, and  supports local restaurants and other OBX businesses. As this event grows, it is getting national recognition from media sources such as Coastal Living Magazine, which voted the event one of the Top 10 Food & Wine Events in the U.S.
