The Outer Banks Pirates Festival will kick off this Thursday, September 16, 2010. Activities will be held all over the Outer Banks through Sunday, September 19. Pirates will be roaming local Outer Banks bars, restaurants and attractions. For a complete schedule see below or download the .pdf flyer here.
Schedule of Activities
Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010
•    4pm - 6pm - Catch the pirate crew at the Outer Banks Brewing Station (MP8.5)
•    6:30pm - 8:30pm - Blackbeard's Crew invades the Jolly Roger in Kill Devil Hills
Friday, Sept. 17, 2010
•    11:30am - 1pm - Catch the Outer Banks pirate crew at Big Al's in Manteo
•    3pm - 5pm - Pirate Invasion at Roanoke Island Festival Park
•    5pm - 7:30pm - Outer Banks Pirates pillage at Festival Park - Families and kids will be able to climb on the Kitty Hawk Kites Rock Wall, make kites, get their faces painted, interact with Pirates all for FREE! Music and Food will also be provided by Pamlico Jack's.
•    7:30pm - Pirate Movie Night - Enjoy a beautiful evening at the Roanoke Island Festival Park as you watch "Pirates of the Caribbean" on the outdoor inflatable movie screen provided by Kitty Hawk Kites. Admission to the movie is free! Bring the lawn chairs and enjoy the best movie theatre the Outer Banks has to offer.
Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010
•    10am - 4pm - Jockey's Ridge Crossing and Kitty Hawk Kites (MP12.5) - Enjoy the Outer Banks Pirate Festival as Blackbeard's crew recruits new members through their Scallywag School for kids, pillage and plunder, and battle with cannons. Kids can also dress like a pirate and have a chance to win a prize in the Dress Like a Pirate Contest.
•    6-10pm - Outer Banks Pirates Deck Party at Pamlico Jack's
Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 "National Talk Like A Pirate Day"
•    Noon-5pm - Festivities at Pamlico Jack's (MP16)! - Blackbeard’s Crew and Pamlico Jack himself will be recruiting new crew members, pillaging and plundering, and battling with cannons. Walk the plank into a vat of Jell-O at the Pamlico Jack’s Jell-O Jump! Only $5 per jump or $8 for 2 Jumps
