Sun Realty is proud to announce that we have successfully reached our first goal of raising a $1,000 for the Outer Banks Hospital's "Get Pinked!" Campaign. Thanks to the hard work and creativity of Sun Realty’s staff, guests and friends, we reached this first goal with six weeks still left in the fundraiser. Each Sun Realty location has been selling pink sunglasses to both guests and locals who have responded to staff’s enthusiasm for the cause with generous purchases and cash donations.
Special thanks go out to Identify Yourself who kindly provided the customized “Get Pinked!” slogan on our sunglasses. Capps & Webster also donated their time and talent to create the fantastic “Get Pinked!” posters. Sun Realty also is very appreciative of all those who have bought, worn and promoted the pink sunglasses on our Facebook page and at various OBX events: The Lost Colony, Pigman’s BBQ, Mojo Collins, OBAR members, Manteo High School cheerleaders, Manor Motel, and many more!
According to recent North Carolina breast cancer statistics, 34 new cases will be diagnosed and 6 deaths will occur in Dare County in 2010. At Sun Realty, we want to do our part to support breast cancer prevention, treatment and detection.
