You never know what treasure you might find on the shores of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. For two lucky people, they found the love of their life.

Every May and October, Dawn travelled with her mother from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Whalehead Beach. While checking in at the Sun Realty Corolla office in the spring of 2007, Dawn met Sun Realty Vacation Specialist, Kevin. Kevin and Dawn formed a fast friendship and her quick trips into the office for the keys to her Outer Banks vacation rentals, became long drawn out conversations. These conversations brought speculation from Dawn's mom, who was oftentimes left in the car to wait for her while she talked to Kevin. Dawn's replies to her mother's speculations were always the same, "Mom, you're crazy."

In the fall of 2008, Kevin assisted Dawn with a project for the homeless in Pittsburgh by coordinating the donation of over 500 Sun Realty tote bags to The Outreach Council, an organization Dawn founded through her church, dedicated to assisting the homeless. During this time, their relationship progressed and not long after, Kevin asked Dawn if their relationship could be taken past the "just friends" line. Dawn agreed and they began making preparations for Kevin to visit.outer banks love

In January 2009, Dawn greeted Kevin at the Pittsburgh airport. Dawn now compares the feeling of meeting him in the airport as the feeling you have after returning home after a long time away - "You walk in, put down your bags and have that moment of ahhhh, it's good be home." After the first visit the couple saw each other about once a month and quickly realized there was much more than friendship between the two of them.

On June 23rd of that same year, Kevin flew into Pittsburgh and surprised Dawn at a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC outer banks lovePark (Dawn thought she was on a "girl's night out") During the 4th inning "Dawn Will You Marry Me? Kevin" flashed on the "Bucco Billboard".

Kevin relocated to Pittsburgh and on October 30th, 2010 Kevin and Dawn were married. The couple now resides in Pittsburgh. Dawn and Kevin volunteer much of their free time on projects similar to the one that brought them together. They return often to the Outer Banks to visit family and friends and always make a stop at "their beach". In fact, they incorporated a sand ceremony as part of their wedding ceremony, using sand they collected from Whalehead Beach a few months before their wedding.

Sun Realty congratulates Kevin and Dawn on finding the world's most priceless treasure on the shores of the Outer Banks, true love.
