Thanks to Mattie Dalia, a local OBX dad, for this great pic! He and his wife, Rhonda, took their cute 2 year old son to Jockey's Ridge in Nags Head on a recent spring day. To a toddler, there's nothing better than giant kites, blue skies and sand dunes just waiting to be rolled down! Little Jake, here's to massive floating guitars and plenty of sand in your pants!

Even if you've visited Jockey's Ridge before, be sure to go again on your next Outer Banks vacation. This timeless Nags Head attraction is fun for all ages. Fly a kite, take a hang gliding lesson or just climb to the top for the fantastic view.

If you're visiting during the summer, you might want to check out Jockey's Ridge during the morning or evening hours. The mid-day summer sun makes the dunes hot, hot, hot! Also, be sure to wear shoes and sunscreen. Leashed dogs are allowed in the park, but not inside the buildings (just be sure to clean up after your 4-legged friend).

For more info on this classic OBX attraction, visit the Jockey's Ridge State Park website.
