In the 70s and 80s, Circus Tent was a mainstay of Outer Banks life. It appealed to locals and tourists with its evening shows featuring music, puppet shows, ice cream and a subtle Christian message. June 18 and 19 will bring a two-day walk down memory lane as the Circus Tent returns to the Promenade in Kitty Hawk. The New Hermeneutics Band (1971-1973) among others, will return for performances both nights, playing songs for children, folk music and contemporary Christian tunes. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. The gates open at 4 p.m. Full schedule of events is available on the website. For more information call 252-261-2062 or visit http://www.kittyhawkumc.org
