Many of Sun Realty's guests have been coming to the OBX for years. There's something so comforting and nostalgic about returning to your "happy place" year after year to make new memories. Children grow older, life moves on, yet the simplicity and fun of an Outer Banks vacation remains a constant.
If you're looking to put a new twist on your annual OBX vacation, be sure to check out Carova and the other 4-wheel drive beaches north of Corolla, NC. There are literally no paved roads on this part of the Outer Banks. You drive on the packed sand at the water line or cross over the dunes and travel on the sandy backroads. Visiting Carova is a truly unique experience - no stores, no restaurants, no streetlights. You get to see an undeveloped, wilder side of the Outer Banks that is simultaneously peaceful and adventurous. A Carova vacation home is the perfect place to really "get away from it all" and reconnect with loved ones. Plus there's a good chance you'll get to see the wild horses that roam the area!
Here's what the Oyer Family from Ohio had to say after staying in Tucs Beachin OBX House (CV-16) in Carova ...
Absolutely beautiful home in the midst of the beach, ocean, nature, horses, and total relaxation! We had a wonderful week at Tucs Beachin OBX house. The home was well maintained and had everything from pool toys, to beach chairs, to a cork screw and wine glasses! Definitely a luxury home located 8 miles up the beach so you're away from the rat race. Thanks Tuc for sharing your paradise with us! It was one of our best vacations! I'm sad it's over...
We hope that the Oyer Family has found a new "happy place" here on the OBX. It was our pleasure to host their annual beach vacation and we can't wait to welcome them back to Carova next summer!
See you at the beach!
